Description:
This project involved the concrete repair and protection of the inlet and outlet canals of the cooling system at the Tallawarra Power Station in Yallah, NSW.
As part of these works, Freyssinet Australia undertook the concrete repair, crack injection, grout stabilisation, soil strengthening, Hybrid Cathodic Protection installation and coating works on both the inlet and outlet canal.
Key Aspects:
The works were completed in a two-week program during the annual shutdown of the power station.
This involved the management of multiple work faces and concurrent construction methodologies.
The works were completed without delay to the critical timeline, with no sacrifice to quality, safety and environmental protection.
