Cable-stayed Structure

Freyssinet is the world leader in cable-stayed bridges having invented the individually protected multistrand stay cable and having completed over 400 structures.

This technology was created in the 1970s and has been evolving ever since. Freyssinet’s stay cables are a benchmark in terms of fatigue resistance, corrosion protection, ease of inspection and ease of replacement.

Freyssinet has two types of stay cables:

• H1000 stay cables for small structures (up to 19 strands).
• HD stay cables for long-span structures (over 169 strands).
