RESA 25 - Airport Runway

The scope of works included:

• Site mobilisation (no site compound).
• Locating all spot leaks onsite and marking out using spray paint.
• Creation of a 25mm deep x 25mm wide opening into the surface of the leaking cracks using a concrete grinder.
• Opening all leaking cracks on the ground and wall as per the spot leaks diagram
• Cleaning of the surface and substrate.
• Mix Vandex plug as per TDS.
• Application of Vandex plug into the 25mm x 25mm opening using a spatula to create a level surface with the surrounding concrete.
• Hand filling any leaking drill holes with Vandex plug.
• Clean-up of all remaining dried PU150 from the road using chisels, brooms and surface grinders.
• Clean-up of areas after Vandex plug has cured.
• Demobilisation.

The site conditions included:

• All night works.
• WSO (Work Safety Officer) to be provided by Airport.
• Access to roadway between 11pm-5am only.
• Road to be back in service by 5am each night.
• Traffic signs/safety bollards were required to close the road (traffic controllers were not required).
