Cobar Mine Concrete Investigation Works
Description:
Cobar Management Pty Ltd controls the operations at Cobar CSA Mine. The Mine consists of four silos, each approximately 20m in height and 10m in diameter. The four silos require extensive concrete repair works to enable the silos to safely function for the next three years, as fears that spalled concrete would fall and cause damage to infrastructure and more importantly personnel on site.
Key Aspects:
Freyssinet Australia was employed by Cobar Management Pty Ltd to conduct a concrete repair survey across the four silos to capture quantity and locations associated with areas that required remediation
Access was slightly challenging as the investigation works had to be performed via boom lift. The boom lift was operated on uneven grounds at times and hence certain areas of the silos could not be reached.
