Westpoint Carpark Column Strengthening
Description:
MPN group was contracted by QIC and construction control to carry out an assessment of the carpark structure. Following investigation of the existing structure and assessment on structural drawings, MPN gave the recommendation to strengthen the existing columns and investigate PT for any corrosion and defective grouting.
Key Aspects:
Strengthening of 297 columns, including reinforcement, core through slab for reinforcement continuity, formwork, installation of static concrete line, and pour.
PT investigation for corrosion and defective grouting.
Re-grouting of PT ducts where voids were located.
