Freyssinet Australia was contacted by St Hilliers Construction to refurbish expansion joints at Belrose Super Centre. The shopping centre was already in service and work areas had to be kept to a minimum in order not to disturb business activities.
Key Aspects:
Freyssinet Australia used the Sika Monoflex system to repair the existing joints.
The site crew used the improved design of protective plates that were used with success on Tuggerah shopping centre.
Freyssinet managed to open up areas in the carpark while preventing any leaks through open joints.
Removal of over 500m of existing joint material.
Installation of over 500m of combiflex system.
Installation of steel protective plates.
